Therapeutic Approach

What working together looks like

Therapy with me is both reflective and practical. We'll explore what's happening beneath the surface while also building real tools you can use in your everyday life. Think of it as understanding yourself better while creating meaningful change, one small step at a time.

Understanding Patterns

Much of what keeps us stuck lives outside of our awareness. We'll look at the patterns you may not even realize are there — the ones that show up in relationships, how you cope with stress, or how you talk to yourself. Understanding these patterns is the first step to changing them.

Working with Thoughts & Emotions

You don't have to believe everything you think. We'll work on noticing what's going on in your mind without getting tangled in it, and finding ways to cope with difficult emotions that actually work for you — not just survive them, but move through them.

Building Real-Life Change

Understanding yourself is important, but real change happens when you practice new ways of being in your everyday life. We'll work on small, concrete steps that fit your life — whether that's setting boundaries, changing how you respond to stress, or building habits that support you.

A Safe, Non-Judgmental Space

This is your space. You don't have to have it all figured out, perform, or be perfect. I create an environment where you can show up as you are — messy, uncertain, vulnerable — without fear of judgment. You control the pace, and your experience shapes everything we do.

Working with Emotional Eating

If you're struggling with emotional eating, you're not broken. Food often becomes a way to cope when other tools aren't available — and that makes sense, even when it feels frustrating.

Intuitive eating is often the goal, and we'll work toward that. But it doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't start by just "listening to your hunger." First, we build a foundation — structured eating, emotional regulation skills, and understanding the patterns underneath, like shame, perfectionism, or old beliefs about food and body. From there, we slowly reconnect with your body's wisdom in a way that actually sticks.
